Our school has an Assessment Policy which is in keeping with the principles laid down in the National Minimum Curriculum which emphasize the importance of FORMATIVE assessment rather than exclusively focusing on SUMMATIVE assessment (which may be loosely said to consist of tests and examinations and offer only the feedback of a mark).
Assessment Reports
Primary
The Assessment Report booklets of Grades 1, 2 and 3 contain a set of criteria in the different subjects for two separate assessment periods – February and June.
The Assessment Report booklets of Grades 4, 5 and 6 consist of:
- Assessments (December and May) as per Criteria and Grade descriptions printed in booklet
- Examination marks (one half-yearly and one annual exam)
Secondary
The Assessment Report Sheet contains
